We are thrilled to return to a favorite destination tailored for our alumni members only. Welcome to the rolling landscapes of remote badlands within the Bisti (Bis-tie) Wilderness. After 6 years of meticulously searching for the most extraordinary locations to shoot in, we are still enthusiastic about this adventurous destination! Located near the Four Corners region of New Mexico; this desert wilderness was once a coastal swamp and has become an etched fantasy world of strange rock formations made out of sandstone, shale, mudstone, coal, and silt. Hoodoos, carved from weathered elements formed eerie pinnacles, spires, cap rocks, and many other unusual formations. These alien-like shapes are surrounded by petrified wood, dinosaur bones and fossils preserved from primitive species dating back to the Jurassic period.
This 5-day workshop is specifically designed to continue your education and expand upon skills already covered in previous courses. You will be expertly guided to remote locations by hiking approx. 5 miles roundtrip each night on flat topography and dirt surfaces. This advanced workshop is planned for utilizing a strong amount of moonlight to take advantage of the unearthly landscape formations. Due to the remoteness of each location to secure very dark conditions, there are no restrooms or water sources available, and you will be hiking off-trail. This course is uniquely tailored for those who have already taken a workshop with Goldpaint Photography.

“I had the privilege to attend Brad’s workshops in Central Utah and Mt. Shasta and both were nothing short of magical. Brad’s meticulous attention to detail and planning ensures that you will have the most fulfilling photographic experience. In addition, his personal attention and care is supportive and promotes your growth as a photographer. Brad also seems to attract quality participants, great people who I have enjoyed spending time with and have developed friendships with… Brad’s positive energy is contagious and should be experienced. You won’t be disappointed.”
