This image was taken in Bear Creek PA in October of 2022. As you know living so close to NYC I rarely get good opportunities to be around dark places. Every year we go to the Pocano mountains to visit our closest friends. We have known them since 1976 and they were instrumental in introducing me to my hubby of 38 years. We only get to see them once a year so this weekend every year in October when the leaves are at their peak is our weekend. This was the first time I went out at night (of course alone because no one has this passion but me). It was funny because I was not afraid, but they loaded me up with a fog horn and a whistle because everyone was sure I would be eaten by bears! I took this HDR photo on the trail around the lake. Hope you enjoy it.
