Getting back to a Goldpaint workshop was a delight after a pandemic and a lot of caretaking challenges had limited my nightsky shooting for several years. Night sky creates such an intimate connection to creation, to the sacred for me. Shasta is also central to my Peruvian practices and the area around Shasta is filled with beauty and inspiration.

I chose this shot because the soft moonlight and reflections in the water felt so calming. With a major move and a new grandchild (our first), I am slowly finding time to work on processing. This shot was the one I selected to work on my processing skills and navigate using the tools that Brad has developed for nightscape workflow. I loved that so many of the newer features were addressed and explained. Thank you Brad for re-igniting my love for night sky photography.
