Simple Impressions
Macro shots are always fun to do. I think the best part about them is that the photographer gets to decide what will be in focus and what is not. Here I chose to only bring a tiny portion of the space between foreground and background to be in focus, while the rest is blurred and left to the viewer to imagine the rest. This is very unusual to do as most people would have concentrated on the candle as being the subject and in focus.  Who ever said that we have to follow rules?
