With nearly a decade of in-field experience teaching night photography workshops, I’ll expertly guide you by sharing my most effective techniques for creating powerful and artistic imagery. Each course allows you to learn at your own pace on a variety of useful subjects, photographic approaches, shooting methods, and exposure blending from various scenarios of dark skies and moonlit landscapes. Blending Exposures – Start to Finish
In part one of my three-part tutorial series, I describe how I photograph the galactic core of the Milky Way and blend two separate exposures together. Follow along as I give you an in-depth look into my non-destructive editing workflow using Adobe Photoshop to apply layer adjustments, create & edit layer masks, incorporate dodge & burn layers, and apply noise reduction to hone your fundamental skills. This tutorial is designed for intermediate to advanced users who already have experience using Adobe Photoshop and are familiar with layer masks.
