Grand Teton Night Photography Workshop with Moonlight

June 21 - 25, 2026

Join us in one of the most iconic mountain ranges in the world for a rare opportunity to photograph the Grand Teton Range with moonlight!

Rising sharply from the valley floor, Grand Teton National Park is defined by its towering peaks, mirror-like lakes, and vast meadows that come alive each summer with wildflowers. Snowmelt from the Teton Range feeds winding rivers and quiet ponds that perfectly reflect the mountain skyline. At night, moonlight sweeps across the jagged range, illuminating snowfields, forests, and alpine meadows in soft silver light. On rare occasions, the aurora borealis may flicker on the northern horizon, adding another layer of magic to these already striking landscapes.

This 5-day workshop is designed for photographers who want to push beyond sunset and master the art of night photography in a mountainous environment. We will spend three nights in the field capturing the incredible views of the night sky combined with moonlit landscapes, wildflower meadows, alpine reflections, and the Milky Way over the Teton Range. Two days will be spent in a classroom-style setting focused on processing night images, including exposure blending, focus stacking, panoramic stitching, and much more. You will also learn how to plan your future night shoots effectively and learn how to work with moonlight to illuminate your foreground.

This workshop is designed for all skill & fitness levels. Immersing you in the Teton Range, while combining infield shooting, classroom tutorials, and a comprehensive 70-page booklet (yours to keep). Our goal is to guide you through capturing the park’s incredible jagged peaks under moonlight while teaching the skills needed to plan a shoot, photograph the night sky, and process your images.

Frequently Asked Questions

Since launching in 2013, Brad Goldpaint has crafted workshops to inspire a deep connection with the night sky while fostering a hands-on, supportive learning environment. Unlike standard photo tours that prioritize itineraries over education, our workshops focus on intimate, skill-building experiences. With small groups of 6-8 participants, everyone receives personalized guidance on camera techniques, composition, and post-processing. Our signature approach uses moonlight to naturally illuminate foregrounds, creating distinctive Milky Way images. Led by Brad Goldpaint, the Astronomy Photographer of the Year, and often joined by night sky expert Evie Urbina, these workshops blend fun, adventure, education, and community for photographers of all levels.

We leave our cameras behind to keep our focus entirely on YOU.

Your workshop is about your interests, your growth, your images, and your experience. By not shooting, we're able to dedicate our full attention to guiding each participant, offering hands-on support, all in a fun, safe environment.

This commitment sets our workshops far apart from the rest, ensuring each one of our participants has our undivided attention.

Our workshops cover the full spectrum of night photography, from planning to final output. You’ll learn to scout locations, select the right gear, master camera settings for low-light conditions, and use moonlight to enhance foregrounds while capturing the Milky Way. We also dive into post-processing techniques to produce print-ready images. Whether you're new to night photography or refining your craft, you’ll gain practical skills to plan, shoot, and edit professional-quality imagery.

Due to the nature of outdoor photography workshops, we cannot offer refunds for weather-related events. We ask all participants attending our workshops to 'come a day early, stay a day late.' If rain is forecasted during our scheduled outings, we may offer additional shooting time. We do not offer refunds for government shutdowns and other uncontrollable factors. However, we do our best to accommodate your needs with flexible itineraries where possible. For detailed information on cancellations, rescheduling, or other terms, please review our Terms & Conditions.
