June 21 - 25, 2026
Rising sharply from the valley floor, Grand Teton National Park is defined by its towering peaks, mirror-like lakes, and vast meadows that come alive each summer with wildflowers. Snowmelt from the Teton Range feeds winding rivers and quiet ponds that perfectly reflect the mountain skyline. At night, moonlight sweeps across the jagged range, illuminating snowfields, forests, and alpine meadows in soft silver light. On rare occasions, the aurora borealis may flicker on the northern horizon, adding another layer of magic to these already striking landscapes.
This 5-day workshop is designed for photographers who want to push beyond sunset and master the art of night photography in a mountainous environment. We will spend three nights in the field capturing the incredible views of the night sky combined with moonlit landscapes, wildflower meadows, alpine reflections, and the Milky Way over the Teton Range. Two days will be spent in a classroom-style setting focused on processing night images, including exposure blending, focus stacking, panoramic stitching, and much more. You will also learn how to plan your future night shoots effectively and learn how to work with moonlight to illuminate your foreground.
This workshop is designed for all skill & fitness levels. Immersing you in the Teton Range, while combining infield shooting, classroom tutorials, and a comprehensive 70-page booklet (yours to keep). Our goal is to guide you through capturing the park’s incredible jagged peaks under moonlight while teaching the skills needed to plan a shoot, photograph the night sky, and process your images.

Since launching in 2013, Brad Goldpaint has crafted workshops to inspire a deep connection with the night sky while fostering a hands-on, supportive learning environment. Unlike standard photo tours that prioritize itineraries over education, our workshops focus on intimate, skill-building experiences. With small groups of 6-8 participants, everyone receives personalized guidance on camera techniques, composition, and post-processing. Our signature approach uses moonlight to naturally illuminate foregrounds, creating distinctive Milky Way images. Led by Brad Goldpaint, the Astronomy Photographer of the Year, and often joined by night sky expert Evie Wilder, these workshops blend fun, adventure, education, and community for photographers of all levels.
We always leave our cameras behind to keep our focus entirely on YOU.
Our workshop is centered around your learning experience, your perspective, your photographs, and your creative journey. You will always have our full attention, with hands-on guidance every step of the way in a fun, supportive, and safe environment.
This commitment sets our workshops apart and ensures every participant receives our undivided attention.
Our workshops cover every aspect of successfully planning and photographing the night sky in the incredible landscapes that surround you. You’ll learn how to scout locations in the Grand Tetons, master camera settings for low-light conditions, use long exposures to capture detail in your foreground, refine your composition at night, and photograph the Milky Way during our 5-day instruction.
We also dive into advanced post-processing techniques to produce print-ready images in Adobe Photoshop. During the 4-hour post-processing session, we review the full 65+ page post-processing booklet so you feel confident editing your images using these new skills.
Due to the nature of outdoor photography workshops, we cannot offer refunds for weather-related events. We ask all participants attending our workshops to ‘come a day early, stay a day late.’ If rain is forecasted during our scheduled outings, we may offer additional shooting time. We do not offer refunds for government shutdowns and other uncontrollable factors. However, we do our best to accommodate your needs with flexible itineraries where possible. For detailed information on cancellations, rescheduling, or other terms, please review our Terms & Conditions.
