Alien eggs in the Bisti Wilderness
Why is this my favorite image? First, I worked out for months to get my aging body in somewhat decent shape to do the hiking. Second, I made a goal to learn how to do blue-hour blends on this particular trip. This image came 98% towards my goal of a perfect photo. Additionally, I had the opportunity to travel to many of my “bucket list” destinations on this particular journey. It was a win-win! (except for the tornado warning while crossing in Arizona… How crazy is that?? :)

During the Leonids this November, only 1 meteor was captured, but I was not skunked ! The air glow and green tint of the summer night sky in the Oregon desert makes for colorful images. This image even captured a small meteor. Looking forward to what 2026 will bring!
