This image was taken during one of the Goldpaint Photography Workshops in Crested Butte, Colorado, in September, 2025. Although most of the Milky Way core is behind the mountain, what I really like about this image is the foreground composition of the East River winding through the scene and the colorful fall foliage on the slopes.
