This may not be my best Milky Way but I love this shot. It’s from Galleta Meadows at Anza Borrego State Park in southern California. Multiple huge steel statues have been erected there, most of them prehistoric in nature. The have rusted over time and have a great deal of character. Also a lot of detail. My husband Drew and I took a photo of us taking the ultimate selfie as some of the dinosaurs attack.
We had our camera on a tripod with a timer. Two tiny, wrapped flashlights illuminated the dinosaurs in different color lights, each from about 10 feet away from its subject. Drew and I lit our faces with our iPhone on its dimmest setting for about 10 seconds.
