Here is my photo for Best of 2018, not because of its quality, but because of the experience for Kendall, the “model,” on top of the RV. It was a completely unplanned shot, that happened between her 3 day backpack through the Tetons and her 24 hour Cowboy Tough Adventure Race. After arriving in Kurt Gowdy State Park she heard my squeal of delight when taking in the night sky. I got the camera out and attempted a shot in the campground. Showing her why it would not work there, she didn’t hesitate to say we need to move. Music to my ears! When told she would have to drive, it was, “let’s go!” Off we went into the dark unknown. I had her scramble around the bicycles to the top of the RV and hurried to get a shot. Hope to get a do over on it sometime, but it captures her first time with the Milky Way
