We are honored to be selected as the 2018 Astronomy Photographer of the Year by The Royal Observatory in Greenwich, England.

In a rare stroke of luck, my camera captured a massive meteor ‘Fireball’ entering our atmosphere from the Alpha Capricornids Meteor Shower.

We asked our students to share their favorite personal photo of the year and this is what they came up with…unbelievable!

We just received our 100th enthusiastic testimonial. It takes me back to the feelings of awe and fascination when I first became obsessed photographing the Milky Way under a true dark sky in 2011.

The scale of the threat to our heritage across our 412 national parks and monuments has become dangerously apparent and the guardians of America’s most treasured places have been handed an almost unimaginable new job.
